Elephant PooPoo Park

About 15 minutes outside of town is a paper making facility.  The make paper out of elephant dung and other farm animal's poo.  It is a well thought out entertainment area and takes about 45 minutes to explore and shop...  They recycle all the poo from nearby elephant parks, use natural dyes to color their papers and reuse the water by irrigating the plants.  In order to get there, we decided to hire a car = our original taxi driver, Mr. Lop.  He charged us 1000 baht for the afternoon.  Besides the elephant farm, we ran a quick errand, saw 2 temples and went to a silk shop that showed how silk is made & woven.
poo by any name is still shit...lol

"did I doo that?"

no longer full of shit!

G always stirring up more shit

they have a diy area where you can make your own paper and then decorate existing items

G gets creative - cost 50 baht (about $1.25)

making an elephant bookmark for B
Our next stop on our custom tour was a quickie temple one, so I could take a few photos.  Because what's a day in Thailand, if you haven't seen a temple?  lol

and dragons!

and yes that does appear to be Donald Duck with Buddha - who knew there were such good friends?
Our final stop B suggested a shop that had silk manufacturing and shopping.  Oh yea!  Educational and therapeutic!  lol! Didn't buy anything expensive, but found postcards! yay!
