3D Museum



B & I are not usually museum folks as you can tell by my blog.  But this one sounded like fun, so we took a tuk-tuk to the Art in Paradise museum.  Here is Wikipedia's definition of the art we saw today: "it is Trompe-l'œil (French for "deceive the eye") is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions. "  The paintings were amazing, as you will see in the photos - you were sure you could reach out and touch...  This was their definition:
This company has about 5 of these in Asia - I think this might be another business opportunity in the states.  What is really cool, if you use your smart phone and their free app, some the photos move while you are taking pictures.  The one with the shark appears to really be swimming!

Tomorrow is our departure for The Elephant Sanctuary and 7 days of camping like atmosphere...  We will most likely be out of wifi range and off the grid for the week... will blog again as soon as I can...  have a great day today and a better one tomorrow

  1. These photos are all keepers, the giraffe reminds me of your drinking giraffe on the table .. maybe frame and hand with it? Love the alligator one too!
